Kurtz Ersa North America, a leading supplier of electronics production equipment, announces that the i-CON 2 industrial soldering station stands for reliability and quality in hand soldering. The two-channel 120W station from Europe's leading manufacturers of soldering technology offers the user two active soldering and de-soldering tools at the same time.

The i-CON 2 can be used in development, production, rework and maintenance in most THT and SMD applications. In addition to the 150W i-Tool, the Chip De-soldering Tool and the THT De-soldering X-Tool Iron, other Ersa soldering tools can be connected. The outstanding measure and control technology of the station ensures quick heating and reheating times as well as constant temperature of the soldering tip.

The range of tips available for the i-Tool includes 40 standard tips and a comprehensive range of other tools.

The i-CON 2 is operated via an illuminated text display and the i-Op control knob. All important soldering parameters, including a secure password protection, can be easily configured.  The i-CON 2 also offers an optional interface to an IR preheating plate or a controllable solder fume extraction unit. This results in a highly functional and flexible platform for industrial soldering work in an ESD-safe environment.
