The award was presented to the company during a Tuesday, Sept. 30, 2014 ceremony that took place at the Donald Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, IL during SMTA International. ACD has updated its Flight Status Board Tracking system to include an online customer service portal as well as email alerts to customers regarding job status, kitting progress reports, inventory alerts and updates.
Customer Flight Status will give ACD customers the same tools the Project Managers have to get updates on boards in process and inventory. Flight Status leverages state-of-the-art programming techniques to track the progress of circuit boards throughout the manufacturing process. The Flight Status Software has been expanded to include an online customer portal that allows customers to track the status of their order at any point in the manufacturing process.
Determining board status no longer requires reliance on email and all of the uncertainties that plague email systems. The immediacy of ACD’s Flight Status Online Customer Portal dramatically increases reliability, certainty, and predictability of information distribution to meet the real-time demands of the high-mix electronics manufacturing process. The portal is kept up-to-date, and data on the SSL secured site is refreshed every 20 minutes, giving customers updates at their fingertips.
