With the publication of the current bi-annual accounts, Viscom AG presents record results across all sales regions. The strong sales development of +27.8 percent over last year confirms the international success track of the innovation and quality leader in the area of high-value inspection solutions for the electronics industry.

By increasing system sales, and with a growing service and upgrade business, Viscom posted sales revenues of € 39,895 thousand for the first half of 2017. The course taken, which includes further development of 3D inspection for optical systems and planar computed tomography in the 3D X-ray area, has proven equally convincing to both existing and new customers. With approximately 52 percent of revenues, Europe is by far the strongest region of the Viscom Group. The enhancement of the export business is part of the growth strategy of Viscom since going public in 2006. For the first time the export business represents two-thirds proportionately of Viscom’s turnover. Viscom is experiencing above-average growth in the USA, with a revenue increase of approximately 68 percent. This positive trend also continues in Asia, with a record revenue increase of 83.5 percent over the previous year.

"Our production is at a very high level and Viscom is working on innovative products for different areas,” states Volker Pape, Viscom AG Executive Board. “We are investing in sustainable growth and reinforcing our sales and service worldwide, as well as our core team at headquarters in Hanover, in order to continue meeting the worldwide demand with the highest quality and future-proof solutions.”

Due to digitalization, miniaturization and smart factories, along with high demands on throughput and process control, the inspection tasks of today and the future of the electronics industry are becoming more and more complex, and Viscom offers the right solutions: "With our range of highly precise systems for the most demanding inspection tasks – from series down to individual inspections – we are aiming for small and medium-sized companies and global firms,” explains Pape. “At the productronica global trade fair in Munich from Nov. 14-17, 2017, we are presenting our exceptional 3D in-line inspection systems, which fulfill the newest requirements for intelligent networking and Industry 4.0.”

Based on these bi-annual results and positive forecasts, the Viscom AG Executive Board looks forward to total revenues of € 87 to 92 million for the current 2017 business year.
