PDR announces new C3i entry-level focused IR rework system with software control

PDR, a leader in IR rework and test, introduced its new C3i entry-level focused IR rework system with software control. The C3i system is ideal for firms seeking a rework solution in the R&D or small lab environment.

Based on PDR’s popular C3 entry-level system, this upgrade offers full software control of the rework process using the company’s Thermoactive Software Suite. This enables the entry-level system to perform tasks such as auto-profiling of the rework process.

Utilizing PDR’s patented focused IR technology, the C3i does not require air nozzles. The system incorporates a multi-zone preheat system and comes with a two-year factory warranty. The C3i comes with either a self-contained vacuum pump for hand wand component removal or a venture-based vacuum system when shop air is present.

Designed for dual closed-loop temperature feedback, the C3i system takes control of managing both PCB and component temperature via the system’s PC-based software interface.
