1 Click SMT Receives GLOBAL Technology Award for Selective Soldering

1 Click SMT Technology Co., ltd. announced today that it received a 2020 GLOBAL Technology Award in the category of Selective Soldering for its FLEX-i2 Compact Inline Hybrid Selective Soldering Machine. The award was announced during a Virtual Awards Ceremony on Tuesday, Sept. 29, 2020. 

The FLEX-i2 can equip two fluxer valves, either two of the same valve or two different valves. For example, two drop jet valves,this enables customers to double their production. Or one drop jet valve and one micro-spray valve, this enables machine for using with two different flux without swapping time.

The system is equipped with two individual solder pots in two individual Z-axis. The soldering area can accommodate PCBs up to W450 x L508mm (18" x 20") (two nozzles individually), W235 x L508mm (9.25" x 20") (two nozzles in parallel). As a result, customers can program the system to use only one solder pump, or use two simultaneously to double the speed, or use one solder pump with bigger nozzle first and then another solder pump with smaller nozzle.

This is a huge benefit if a customer uses two types of flux and two different types of solder for their customers – they don't need to waste time on changing the flux in tank, cleaning the flux nozzle, changing the flux valve, changing the solder pot, waiting for the solder to melt, calibrating solder pot position etc.
