Minneapolis, MN � The SMTA is pleased to announce the SMTA Long Island Academy program for 2008. The Academy Program will be held October 22-23, 2008 at the Hyatt Regency Long Island in conjunction with the SMTA Long Island Chapter Vendor Show. This program will feature six Academy Courses led by leaders in the industry.
SMTA Academy courses are often referred to as "mobile classrooms", as they visit different cities each year featuring instructors for training that is tailored according to local interests. The Academy courses address both cutting edge and fundamental topics in electronics manufacturing and business issues.
Topics to be covered in the six courses are SMT Process Fundamentals for Tin-Lead, Lead-Free and Mixed Assembly, Advanced SMT Manufacturing, Advanced Component Packages and Processes, Lean Lead-Free SMT Manufacturing, The Reality of Reliability of Lead-Free, and Lead-Free Surface Finishing for PWB.
