The MIRTEC MV-3L Desktop AOI System is the industry's most widely accepted Five Camera Desktop AOI system.�New to APEX 2009, MIRTEC will display an MV-3L configured with a four mega pixel top down camera with 9.8 micron resolution and four side-view cameras. The new configuration has a 2-D camera bar code reader and an auto-clamp option. It also features the Intelli-Beam Laser System. This system provides the �The Third Dimension� in inspection capability � the ability to precisely measure the Z-height of a given region of interest. This advanced technology provides four-point height measurement capability for co-planarity testing of BGA and CSP devices as well as enhanced solder paste measurement capability.
MIRTEC also will introduce the latest in its award winning MV-7 Series; the MV-7xi In-Line AOI System. Fully configured, this system provides one top-down four mega pixel camera with 9.8 micron resolution and four side-view cameras. The patented �Quad Angle Lighting System� provides four independently programmable zones for optimal illumination of inspection areas. The MV-7xi at APEX will feature a 2-D camera bar code reader, a high-throughput, three-stage PCB conveyor and a PCB under board support system. This system also will be configured with MIRTEC's exclusive Intelli-Scan Laser System. This advanced technology provides superior lifted lead detection for gull wing devices, four-point height measurement capability for co-planarity testing of BGA and CSP devices, and enhanced solder paste measurement capability.

New at APEX, MIRTEC will demonstrate its MV Series Remote Management Software (RMS). This software allows remote management of up to eight MIRTEC AOI systems simultaneously, allowing MIRTEC customers to further maximize the efficiency of their inspection process. The software for MIRTEC's MV Series is powerful yet simple to use. A comprehensive package type library provides simple �Drag and � component programming. The Automatic Teaching Tool (ATT) software provides automatic teaching of component locations using CAD centroid data. Typical programming time is under one hour per assembly. The standard SPC software package promotes continuous process improvement by allowing the user to track and eliminate defects on inspected assemblies.
New to APEX, MIRTEC will unveil its MS-11 In-Line SPI System. This revolutionary SPI system uses Shadow Moir� Technology and Phase Stepping Image Processing to inspect solder paste deposition on PCBs post-screen print. This technology is far superior to laser SPI technology. The MS-11 will inspect for insufficient solder, excessive solder, shape deformity, shift of deposition and bridging. The MS-11 is configured with an ultra high-resolution Two Mega Pixel Camera System for enhanced image quality and superior accuracy. The MS-11 uses the same robust platform as MIRTEC's MV-7 Series.
Also at APEX, MIRTEC will display a Factory Refurbished MV-2BTL Desktop AOI System for immediate sale. This system is ideal for those customers that who are in the market for a low-cost / high-performance AOI machine. The MV-2BTL is designed to automatically inspect for defects both pre- and post-reflow. It provides superior fault coverage for both SMT and through-hole assemblies and will detect defects such as component presence/absence, polarity, misalignment, insufficient solder, excessive solder, solder bridging, bent leads lifted leads solder balls and more.�
This system is fully refurbished with a new camera and lighting system, frame grabber and all associated hardware and includes a full six-month parts and labor warranty and three days on-site installation / training. Additional options are available for purchase as well.
