Conelec of Florida’s Owner and President Roger Thomson and Production Manager David Thomson purchased the system on the IPC APEX Expo show floor on Wednesday, April 7, 2010. The splicing cart will join Conelec’s impressive repertoire of manufacturing solutions that work together to exceed customer requirements.
Designed to handle splicing of SMT component tape on the fly to dramatically reduce downtime on pick-and-place machines, the splice cart rolls up to a feeder bank for easy splicing of reels, and features storage space for spliced strips. The cart offers storage for three splicing tools and features holes in the work surface to bolt down a fixed splicing tool. Additionally, the tabletop surface comes standard with Bliss Blue ESD “softsurface” material.
