Data I/O Corporation (NASDAQ: DAIO), the leading provider of manual and automated device programming solutions, announces that business from programming centers has rebounded during the last two quarters, increasing demand for the PS Series offline automated programming systems.

Throughout the 2008-2009 economic downturn, programming centers experienced excess capacity as business declined. During this time, capital equipment was purchased for specific projects with capacity needs. “Over the last two quarters, we have seen an increase in PS Series sales to multiple programming centers indicating a rebound in their overall business levels,” said Gordon Bluechel, Director of Operations at Data I/O.

“As many of our customers’ demand increased, so has our need to purchase additional capacity,” said Martin Hinz, Manager Programming Service of MSC. “The PS588 provides us with the flexibility to meet multiple customers’ programming needs in a high-mix/high-volume environment.”

With hundreds of Data I/O’s PS Series off-line programming systems installations worldwide, many of them installed at commercial programming centers, the PS series supports customers with medium-volume/high-mix to high-volume/high-mix environments. The PS Series provides customers with the fastest programming times and shortest changeovers with minimal setup. With the PS Series, customers can monitor jobs remotely and analyze performance data with enhanced statistical processing software for optimal reliability, repeatability and traceability.

The PS388 and PS588 feature FlashCORE III, the world’s fastest flash programming architecture available on the market today for programming high-density flash memories such as e.MMC, SD and NAND Microncontrollers, EPROM, EEPROM, NOR flash and many others.
