COURSE DESCRIPTION

The purpose of this course is to present the materials, methods and acceptance criteria for producing soldered electrical assemblies.  This course is a mix of lecture and hands-on designed as a certification for experienced solderers to show they understand the correct way to achieve quality soldered connections.

This course assumes that the students know some of the basic concepts and materials associated with hand soldering. If students have not previously performed soldering activities, additional training will be necessary prior to attending this course. Blackfox recommends our applicable soldering series modules for remedial study.

Soldering applications are completed using soldering irons and wire solder.
