IPC/WHMA-A-620 Specialist (CIS) Recertification Course

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, Blackfox is offering online IPC training and certification beginning in mid-April.

Learners will participate in a discussion and overview of the IPC-A-620A. When there are revisions and/or amendments to this standard, learners will discuss applicable changes. Students will be able to make correct “accept/reject” decisions for the appropriate class/classes of production, based on the acceptability requirements of IPC-A-610.

COURSE STRUCTURE

• Module 1 (required) - Introduction/IPC Professional Policies and Procedures; Foreword; Cable/Wire preparation; Measuring Cables; Testing Cable assemblies
• Module 2 (optional) - Crimp Terminations; Insulation Displacement Connections
• Module 3 (optional) - Soldered terminations
• Module 4 (optional) - Connectorization; Molding/Potting
• Module 5 (optional) - Wire Splicing
• Module 6 (optional) - Marking and labeling; Wire Bundling; Shielding; Cable/Wire Harness Protective Coverings
• Module 7 (optional) - Coaxial and Twinaxial Cable Assemblies
• Module 8 (optional) - Solderless Wrap

OBJECTIVE:

Satisfactory completion of this course:

• Successfully pass Moduls 1 with a score of 70% or better
• Successfully pass Modules 3-9 with a score of 70% or better
