IPC-A-610 Specialist (CIS)

Where | When:

Description:

This is a 4-day class for students who are required to be certified to IPC-A-610. The class is designed to combine the IPC-A-610 theories (Classes I, II, and III) with our own developed practical hands-on soldering exercises.

This training and certification has immediate recognition, legitimacy and value throughout the electronics industry. Over 3,000 individuals have been trained and certified as IPC-A-610 Class "A" Instructors in the first five years of the program. Our instructors are certified as Class "A" Instructors. A comprehensive and technically accurate program, the IPC-A-610 Training and Certification provides instructors with high quality materials and detailed instructional plans for training operators.

The theories will be learned and reiterated immediately by the related hands-on practices. We firmly believe that the hands-on soldering exercises are valuable as they reinforce the theoretical concepts and provide the students with an opportunity to test what they have studied.

Students who successfully complete this class will be awarded an IPC-A-610 Operator Proficiency Certification, which is valid for two (2) years.  Our IPC-A-610 “Operator Proficiency” Re-Certification class is a 2-day extensive review of the IPC-A-610 Specification and is designed for students who require to renew their  certification prior to expiration.  The students will participate in a discussion and an overview of the IPC-A-610 document.  When there are revisions and/or amendments to this standard, students will discuss the applicable changes. Please feel free to review our IPC-A-610 “Operator Proficiency” Re-Certification class web page, for further details.

IMPORTANT NOTE: If you have not had any previous hands-on soldering experience and are unfamiliar with the handling of electronic assemblies and/or with component installation location & orientation, we highly recommend that you initially enroll in our "Solder Hands-On" introductory training class to acquire the basics & best practices of soldering, prior to enrolling in our "IPC-A-610 Certification" training class. This essential knowledge will help to maximize your learning in your subsequent "IPC-A-610 Certification" training with us.
