Description: |
The purpose of this course is to assist the electronics manufacturer in the production of high-quality products at the lowest possible cost by providing a greater understanding of the soldering and assembly processes through “standard” training. This class is an excellent introduction to the science and art of soldering an electronic assembly and allows the graduate the confidence in electronic soldering.
Recommended prerequisites: Specialized Hands-On Tutorial Certification/Challenge IPC-A-610 Certification.
Included in this module:
- Module 1 – Overview of J-STD-001 requirements and general requirements. 1 day
- Module 2 – Study of the J-STD requirements applicable to the assembly and soldering of Wires and Terminals, and practical exercises for development and demonstration of soldering skills. 1 day
- Module 3 – Study of the J-STD requirements applicable to the assembly and soldering of Through Hole connections, and practical exercises for development and demonstration of soldering skills. 1 day
- Module 4 – Study of the J-STD requirements applicable to the assembly and soldering of Surface Mount components, and practical exercises for development and demonstration of soldering skills. 1 day
- Module 5 – Study of the theory and application of Inspection Techniques required by the J-STD, and a practical exercise to develop and demonstrate inspection skills. 1 day
