Ken you say reaching 218 to 221 C will give a homogenus solder ball. The pb free solder balls on the BGA reflow at 235 C to 238 C but I have seen when you combin to differnt types of solder say 63-37 and 10-90 you will atually lower the melting point

We do the following things: 1.) RoHS PCB:s is marked with a code. This is to identify that the PCB:s itself are RoHS compliant. 2.) If it is a true RoHS PCBA; we put a printed label with a green "texture" on the PCBA. 3.) If it is a mixed PB free/PB;

We also have a few customers that seem to buy the cheapest LEDs available and provide them for the build. We've had complete reels that had obviously been exposed and oxidized. You can try a solder with a more aggressive flux. How long is your pro

TBH I think perhaps the OP deserved it, there is perfectly good explanation of Reflow and Process Window Index on Wikipedia for starters and if you want more all sorts of FREE specialist papers on things like reflowing flex circuit, lead/lead free et

Hi, We have the Soltec Delta C. It works well, and is very stable. I think the software is a bit simplistic, but it keeps the wave stable, so that's the main thing. It's the timer on the software that I find annoying. It has a warm up time, and yo

Is this a new design or have you manufacted these in the past without a problem. we manufacture ceramic arrays from X7R and COG, X7R has a differnet dialectric strength so higher capacitor values can be achived. With the introduction of RoHS the term

DaveF is correct in saying that TAL is not the best metric to use in reflow soldering. That is why paste manufacturers give such a wide range; typically 30 to 120 seconds. The peak temperature is more important, especially in the mixed Pb and Pb-F
