For the Resistor Network Array SMT 0402- 8 pads I'm using a Stencil 5 mils Th. with the next appertures : Corners-biggers pads: 24 x 12 mils Center pads : 9 x 24 mils This Appertures are working excelent for the RN's that his appertures are parallel

In printing, the thickness of solder paste perpendicular to the Squegge direction is always lower 1 mil than that parallel to the Squegge direction,so Insufficient Solder may occur.I think you may slow printing speed or widen appertures to resolve it.

Tell us more about your printer. squegge blade type ,speed, snap-off distance etc... You shouldn't have to change apertures for any component based upon its rotation. the parts that are coming out good could they withstand a higher volume print? You

For most applications, a nice square [or rectangle] pad works just fine. Assemblers ship boat loads of boards with these every day. It's reasonable for tight decoupling capacitor requirement applications to use round or radiused pads for components

Can anybody gimme some input on the problem I faced currently on 0402 Chip Resistor. At pre-reflow the component are placed nicely but at post reflow, we found the Resistor stands sideway ( both termination, the pad and componant are in contact, fun

Thanx for your valuable feedback,Eric. Do you mind sharing with me the pad size change that you have made. I mean from what size to what size. I'm measuring mine now...cheers

The size i had changed from 55 x 20 mils to 42 x 20 mils. The component size i have is 40 x 20 mils ( 1mm x 0.5mm ).

Check the pad size. I had this issue before due to the pad size too wide. R&D had change the size of the pad and is solve the issue. Before the pad size change, I had rebuild another stencil with the pad opening close to the component size. It won't

| Hi, | | We are running 0402 component on the TCM1000 and we find that teher will be missalignment on 0402 Capositor. We have identified that the missalignment is caused by the wrong information from the vision system while doing vision centering.
