Verification of Wash Water Resistivity Reading

Electronics Forum | Wed Mar 14 21:57:58 EDT 2007 | Dave Jurena

We are setting up a facility in China and would like to verify the resistivity reading on our Westek wash machine. The only tool we have at this time is a multimeter. The machine reads .570 Mohms and the MM reads around .25 Mohms at a probe distance

reflow 1208 flips

Electronics Forum | Thu Jan 21 18:11:24 EST 2010 | colormaker

I have a strange problem with 1208 resistors flipping off placed position. I have the same reflow settings that I have used for years with the same solder paste. PAste is only a few months old and it was used just 1 week ago without problems. Some re

Labeling before paste printing

Electronics Forum | Thu Mar 10 21:16:38 EST 2022 | proceng1

How far from apertures is the label supposed to go? I'd say 1 inch is plenty. 3/4 inch might be plenty also. Do you have the ability to measure paste height? I'd say place the label on one board and print two. Is there an appreciable differenc

Trouble with wave solder pallet

Electronics Forum | Wed Jan 12 10:05:37 EST 2005 | SuePH

Help!! Just got some new wave solder pallets in house. The pallets are 12 by 8 inches solid composite, with only two 1/2 inch by 1 inch spots cut out for the connectors. When they go over the wave, the solder wants to cling to the bottom of the pal

Re: 1 mil = ?? inches

| | I am not familiar with the "mil" metric. How many inches is in 1 mil? | | | | ...or 10 mil? | | | | | 1 mil= .001 inches | 10 mil= .010 inches | Also, it has nothing to do with metric. I was also confused with this standard of measuring bef

Re: Damaged/dislodged components when doing second side of double sided reflow

Electronics Forum | Thu May 11 15:07:42 EDT 2000 | Finepitch Services

I assume your oven has a "board width" setting for every board and the conveyor width is automatically adjusted as soon as you select the profile/recipe... For the double sided reflow boards, I would set the width 1 inch (or another rounded amount)

Attenuator

Electronics Forum | Tue Jan 28 17:44:33 EST 2003 | bobbyv40

Little off the topic of SMT production, but I am in urgent need of a 60db sma inline attenuator. Male to female @ 2.2-2.3 Ghz. Size is extremely important, I need it to be as small as possible(around 1 inch in leanth) If anyone knows where I can find

silicone conformal coat and electrical contacts

Electronics Forum | Wed Jan 31 17:01:34 EST 2007 | rw

I'm not that concerned about the solderability of the motor. Our customer is concerned about the outgassing of the conformal coat effecting the motor brushes. Silicone will break down into SiO2 and SiC will result from a spark between the brushes a

what is the max print speed? thanks for your help

Electronics Forum | Mon Nov 05 13:33:08 EST 2007 | slthomas

Heck no, I mean we print relatively slower on complex boards, as in 1 inch/sec (25.4mm/sec), and maybe 2 inches/sec. (51mm/sec) on less complex boards. SMT is not a bottleneck in our plant and printing never the bottleneck in SMT, so I see no need t

Delta wave solder

Electronics Forum | Wed Oct 12 08:34:48 EDT 2016 | assuredtech

Speaking from experience, the solder pot surface has become "wetted" so to speak, so solder will naturally wick and seek. Allow the level to go low (perhaps 1 inch plus), clean the top surface area of the solder pot as best as you can - try to remove
