Hi , As far as I experienced with wave reflow. If u have a refective thermal reader , u will see that the board is exposed to much more temp than the 120 deg that u set. Actually , once u see the board warp or comp. crack u should know that

Normally the specs I monitored in our temperature profiles are Slope 1-2 Deg C/sec, preheat 60 - 120 Sec at 120 Deg C - 150 Deg C, peak 215+/- 10 Deg C, above 183 Deg C is 45 - 75 Sec, total reflow is 3 - 5 minutes. Why is it that we don't monitor

The rule-of-thumb is to follow the flux mfg.'s recommended profile to achieve their specified top side PCB temperature before making contact with the wave. Typical top side PCB temps are 100-120deg.C. Your wave contact time should be around 2 seconds

Thanx for the reply Dave. We actually had a few thermocouples attached from underneath to see if there is any delta in temperature within the same BGA's ball. They looks OK, with the slope of 1 -2 Deg C,soak at 120 Deg C - 150 Deg C at about 90 sec,
