For the Resistor Network Array SMT 0402- 8 pads I'm using a Stencil 5 mils Th. with the next appertures : Corners-biggers pads: 24 x 12 mils Center pads : 9 x 24 mils This Appertures are working excelent for the RN's that his appertures are parallel

Thanks for the response..... The solder is actually printed okay prior to SMT.... And after placing, found missing solders at middle terminals of 0408 resistor arrays.... Package library is checked, component spec looks fine... I am suspecting the

You are correct about a TCE [CTE] mismatch issues in ceramic packages. The coefficient of thermal expansion [ppm/C] of major ceramic package elements are: * Silicon - 3 * Standard 92% alumina ceramic 6.5 * FR4 board 18-20 Several points are: *

Quick question for Dave, Out of curiosity, why concave? I ask because we are soldering RNETs that come in either style and have not payed much attention to this. Russ

Not sure of the package style or the specific problem you're talking about, but consider searching the fine SMTnet Archives since we have talked about this previously, several times.

I recognize this problem as well, building only prototypes with all attention possible, the (small) networks need extra attention for they show opens. Maybe it helps to increase the placementforce a bit to increase the contact area to the paste befor

I have run across a resistor array whose tape has a 2mm pitch. Is there a way to modify a Fuji CP3 8x4 feeder to make it 8x2? Or do I need to purchace new feeders?

In printing, the thickness of solder paste perpendicular to the Squegge direction is always lower 1 mil than that parallel to the Squegge direction,so Insufficient Solder may occur.I think you may slow printing speed or widen appertures to resolve it.

Hello Michael, Laser marking and ink jet marking are now offered by a wide array of suppliers. The was a bit of a boom at APEX last year in the number of suppliers for these systems. Many have tried label placing but have run into a number of conc

Thanks, Dave appreciate the info. One of my trains of thought was leading to the convex because I thought that having the "bump" would allow for easier wave soldering? I did look at some data we had and did find you to be correct, the concave hav
