I have worked on many platforms over the past 20+ years of being in SMT, before that it was thru hole so I go back to the late 70's in this line of work. Some manufacturers I have worked with have been Quad,Fuji,Amistar,Sanyo and Universal. Of those,

Probably covering old ground here, but when I read marketing data, brochures etc for new P&P machines, they always state the CPH. You know... 12,000 chips per hour or 18,000 chips per hour and so on and so forth. However, you try and place 0201's at

Hi LC, Where are you getting your profile from? Are you actually attaching t-couples to the board? For BGAs the best place to measure is from the center of the device. This means drilling a hole in the board and placing the t-couple thru the hole

So others can solder the same board and part but you can't. Dipping the legs in flux doesn't help. Then it's either your pre-heat or wave. Measure your pre-heat and compare to others or flux mfger. Do you have chip wave or something like an Omega

hahaha! LISTEN, everyone knows that oven get dirty. They need periodic cleaning. So if you run lead boards thru your oven you will get lead dust and residue in you're oven. If you want to be truely lead free you need to get all the lead outta of

Hi: I have seen this problem before. It is caused by improper curing of solder mask by the fab manufacturer. When you run the board thru' wave solder, and then wash the board, you see the problem of white residue. However, when you apply heat, you c

Try running the second side first on a board. If it wets well, it points towards your board house. Run a blank board thru your oven and then try your normal process. If you see issues with the first side now - it definitely points towards your boa

Is there a reason why you want to wash the board > before wave?!?!? > > What is your process > flow? > > I run bottom side of my boards first, > then top just to make it easier to setup (easier > to put those support pins around those smaller

Question: Do you run your pallets hot or cold thru the wave? I ask this because if you run your pallets cold the board will never preheat to the correct temp. thus, your flux won't activate properly. James

If you are talking about reflowing surfacemount on the solder side of the assembly, that is accomplished by gluing the smt components to the bottom of the board. I recomend that you use a chip wave in conjuction with the normal wave to get the best r
