Using an air hose to clean stencils

I agree that the tines (webs between apertures) can become damaged on fine pitch stencils from a blast of air. If they get bent, the stencil won't seat and gasket properly allowing bleed out of paste. Of course we all know that the air being blasted

bead blasting conformal coatings

Is there a reason you're considering bead-blasting the conformal coating? It seems like a bit of overkill. Most of the cc that I've used over the years either has a solvent that will dissolve it, or will dissolve with heat. Heat has been our go-to

We've never tried to remove Paraylene from a BGA, but we stayed [in seperate rooms] at the Red Roof Inn. Parylene/Paraxylyene is a great coating and can be selectively removed by several methods. IPC-7711 (Rework of Electronic Assemblies) has a sect

Try: * Grainger [www.grainger.com] * Mc Master-Carr [www.mcmaster.com] Use a blast gate like McMaster-Carr 1822K315 located on each port of the machine. These will help balance the air flow entrance to exit as well.
