Standard of PCB Bow and Twist in Incoming Inspecion

Without drilling through the numbers, they're probably correct. Recognize that standard warp / twist specs [IPC-A-610 1.5% for PTH only and 0.75% for SMT] are not going to make it on tech boards. You need to define specific requirements. This warp

warped boards and cracked solder joints

We recently have received a lot of warped (bowed and/or twisted behond IPC 600 specs.) bare boards (some our fabricator's fault, some ours by design) and I can't help but figure that long term reliability will suffer when building product with them.

https://matr.com/ My employer uses this service heavily. We build a high mix of Proto and volume boards. Overall turn around time is good, about a week to ship it there and back depending on what is marked priority. Customer service is spot on, and

PLCC 44 and QFP 240 tilting problems

Are your pads on the board aligned correctly? I've seen this a lot lately. Pads on opposite sides are not aligned correctly. This causes the part to twist. If you have the Gerber and a way to check it, it's worth the 3 minutes to check.

Clearance between Through hole and chip component

Marcin, Think outside the box. If you are glueing the SMT part down, why not have an aperture cut in your stencil (or recut a stencil) between the SMT part and thru-hole. Wave solder hates SMT glue. This will get rid of your solder short problem

PWB packaging for shipment and storage

Our company (assembler and user) has experienced some board problems relating to warpage and solderability. The manner in which they are packaged by our fabricators and stored in our stock prior to assembly has been questioned (as one of many factor

Manjunath, I prefer orthogonal systems. In my experience they are actually better at detecting coplanarity and HIP defects than multi camera systems. They are obviously limited, in that they can not inspect a component under another component, b
