Hi everyone, We just picked up an old VIP70 oven and it is in need of more maintenance than we were told when we bought it so I'm working on a few issues. The main thing right now is linking the FCU controller to the PC. I've tried using both seria

I have a BTU International VIP98 reflow oven, running WINCON Version 2.00C on Windows 98. The light tower only lights green when the oven reaches temperature, and the other colours never light up. Do you know how to set the other colour lights to tu

Stephen has a good point. You could buy a used oven. I know of several used ones that are completely refurbished for about 15-25K. But these are BTU P-70's and P-98's. The main problem here is frequency. Most of their ovens operate at 50 or 60

Hi Ray, BTU was not too helpful with me because we bought the machine second (probably third or fourth) hand. I bought some FCU's from Ed at Assured Technical Services (assuredtech@yahoo.com) and a hard drive that had the Wincon software we needed.

Can someone explain the difference between solder "fines" and solder balls? Is there an official specification where "fines" are defined? What is the spec for "fines"? I consider "fines" individual unmelted metal spheres that are found in solder
