Thanks for the help guys. I found that serial port 2 was bad on the computer. Not able to change it to com 1 in the config. Seems to be protected by a factory password. So I had to change the computer and reload the software. It's working now. Thank

Please check the following: 1.Power supply. 2.SSR control power. 3.OTP or over temp protection at the software. Maybe you set it at low so it reads over temp even at lower temp. If still not ok you may check BTU service engineers. Brian Riggs

Thanks for the advice. In this scenario we are designing our own product. Currently we are building at a prototype level with no appreciable wait between reflow passes. The part in question is a 64 pin QFP. We use a BTU VIP 98 with edge conveyor.
