DPMO as a metic to qualify a CEM as World Class

Electronics Forum | Wed Jan 17 11:21:29 EST 2007 | BillW

I have been using overall combined DPMO of SMT PCBAs as a performance metric. All defects are recorded down to component location and defect category. The resultant defect data table is analyzed with detailed pivot tables, defect type and defect loca

My question is concerning a cheap PCB material. I have a sample with me and I have to quote on this product with the same PCB material. This material is not FR4 and the color is beige. I think CEM-1 material is beige too but I`m not sure. I`ve hea

FR4 or CEM3

Electronics Forum | Tue Jun 22 00:09:14 EDT 2010 | leadthree

You should do some testing what temp you really get. Solder will melt 260~300ºC. Back to the initial question, CEM-3 is a bit harder to buy and has not many varieties. Go for FR4, you can go for a higher Tg then the common 130ºC. There is also 140,
