Rob, I have done it different ways. For the centroid you can do offline CircuitCAM or Valor or even pure Excell. I have used even pick and place machines files to extract data for AOI/SPI programming. These locations and coordinates are already there

We are considering a tabletop AOI primarily for rework purposes. In 95% of the cases we would NOT have centroid data NOR Gerbers, The area we would inspect would be in and around the BGA, QFN or LGA being replaced. In addition we would want o inspe

We decided to use F4G over flexa. Flexa sounds overly complicated for us. All we want to do is pop gerber and centroid data. We have very few boards to load in. My new issue is F4G is 16 bit and trying to find an old windows 2000 machine that wor

Vicki, Ask your CAD guys to give you the centroid X-Y data with reference designators in ASCII format. Then import that file into Excel. You can then change the fields and data into the format you need. Make sure you left justify the columns. Af

I am very familiar with AutoProgram and understand the default import formats for the software. AutoProgram wants a centroid file containing part number, ref des., X, Y, and theta. AutoProgram will not directly import an ASCII cad file. However, Ci
