Q: Could any of you guys tell me what exactly is this greenish thing ? A: No, but is not copper oxide. Copper oxide is brown, the color of a penny [here in the US] or an untreated copper laminated trace on a board. Many copper salts are greenish in

Russ - Sounds alot like Mydata to me....Some of these guys are notoriously bad when it comes to this either because they are unknowledgeable, or desparate for business. On the other side of the coin, some buyers also tend to believe what they want t

This thread proved useful. We are considering our own SMT line, and yes, its the Topaz vs Mydata discussion. From our work, the Phillips support seems better, but this is a region by region issue. The accuracy and placement rates are both good for wh

Should have mentioned that since we don't really know for sure what's causing the failure (we just know that it fails, and that there is unrepairable (by us) damage to the board that was provided by the customer), and can't troubleshoot further, we c

I am looking to build a prototype for an idea that I have and not sure where to begin. I am looking for electronic parts (SMT?, microchip?...not exactly sure on terminology) that can communicate with each other via a transmitter/receiver relationship

Stencil lifespan depends on several factors such as squeegee type, squeegee pressure, handling, and foil thickness to name a few. There is no magic number. The best judge is your SPI machine if you have one. We typically start thinking about replacem

I have never witnessed a "worn out" stencil in my 30+ years. Take that with a grain of salt..My environment is CM so stencil usage is somewhat limited. I have seen "coined" stencils. They look funky but some schools of thought say they work better
