That error message is keyed by a hardware (soldered) link on the backplane board of the Y1 (motor controls), through direct cable to PCIB40#3... check connections both ehds; possibility of multiple PCIB failures?

check 12PL14, 12PL16, 12PL17 connectors. also, there are few jumpers on backplane of Y1, check them too. a single broken wire can get you this error, so my bet is cables.

We are having a few issues lately with a Data file open error on the printer and also the belts carrying on spinning when the PCB has hit the board stop even though the board stop sensor is activated that it has seen the PCB, anyone seen these issues

Have you measured and input the "Distance To Image" setting correctly? If that number is off, you will get that error.

I have been able to manually enter CMOS info in SETUP thanks to suggestions from this forum and get past the CMOS and EEPROM failures. Now stuck "diskette error". Any key will produce the same message. Thanks.

I removed the ribbon cable from the FDD and edited the setting in SETUP to "NOT Installed";. Came back with 'Diskette drive failure on drive A'. on reboot. Still shows "Diskette error" on last line. Possible HDD issue? Thanks.

Thanks for the support. Maybe you can help me with another problem. I get a pate dispensor error command time out, which clears itself, then a screen actuator error command time out that doesn't clear during initialisation. Machine won't do anything
