Pin in Paste with dispenser

Electronics Forum | Mon Jan 24 04:26:32 EST 2005 | Hannu

Morning all, Has anybody done any pin in paste job with a dispenser? I read somewhere that the needle i.d. should be slightly larger than the hole diameter, but with holes of 1.4 mm I would have to work with a very large needle indeed. How does past

Dispensing Paste for 0201-0402 uBGA devices?

Electronics Forum | Thu Jun 24 12:02:59 EDT 2004 | russ

I have never done these components before, but if you have performed capability studies on your dispense equipment you should be able to tell if this is feasable. I can tell you that 0402 and 0201 especially 0201 requires great accuracy and volume.

| Has anybody successfully used an automated dispensing system to put solder paste dots on .5 mm pitch pads?? I need to replace some Meritec tsop sockets and I don't want to use the single site stencils for .5 mm parts. | Try http://www.winslowaut

Universal GDM users?

Electronics Forum | Mon May 19 17:17:41 EDT 2003 | JB

We currently use a Universal GDM for our glue dispensing applications, piston pumps. My question is: Have you had any problems with air getting in the dispense system that will cause missing dots? If so, how have you approached to this problem? Int

Hi Joshua, We ran 150K per week this way, you just need a lot of pallets. Regarding dispensing I've seen 0201 (Imperial)paste dispensed, so about 0.4ish mm dots. I'm sure the Mydata printer is also pretty high resolution too, but not too quick.

Solder paste jetting vs time pressure dispensing

The my700 can dispense 1 million dots per hour. It's not an exaggeration either. It literally never stops moving, and is dispensing without contacting the board. It uses the same type of mathematical calculations that a plane dropping a bomb uses in

Screen Printing Adhesive

Electronics Forum | Thu Sep 30 03:33:58 EDT 2004 | pioneertechnology

Hi All We have two boards that we produce which are chip on glue. For this we use KME BD12's which use air to dispense the glue dot on to the board. This is not ideal as the glue dot size differs as we go down the tube causing us quality problems.

| We have carried out some experimental work, in conjunction with DEK. Instead of dispensing adhesive for SMD components onto the bottom side of on of our PCBs, we have looked at the possibility of screen printing the adhesive. Because, at the stage

How can I measure the consistence of glue application in a Gemin

Electronics Forum | Tue Mar 07 15:11:43 EST 2006 | davef

We wouldn't know a Gemini from a bread box, nor we are real clear on what you seek. So, we'll just rattle on for a while. Here's how we monitor the quality of our dispensing process: * We dispense the same nonfunctional pattern of dots on every boa
