| You should consider throwing in a bottle of Tylenol (they are going to need it) Ouch! That hurt. I appreciate a good sense of humor, but I don't appreciate your UNQUALIFIED quip at my expense. Your comment could hurt my chances of finding a buye

The 4713 is an old model, first came out in the late 80's. Recreated as 4713B, C & finally D. Check with UIC on the service issue. It shoots dots at around 18K per hour. Camalot is a far superior machine for liquid dispensing.

Is anyone out there using automatic despensing equipment rather than stencils for depositing paste on BGA patterns prior to placement/repair. What is minimum dot size that can be reliably applied. Pro's/con's?

Gemini is dot machine only, no lines, circles, etc.... The model 5000, 1818 and XyFlex Pro can do all. http://www.speedlinetech.com/camalot/index.aspx

Never could get that thing to work rite. Better off getting a glue stencil or a manual dispenser. Even if you do get it to work it is difficult to control the glue dot size to stay stable either you get too much or not enough.

We have never dispensed adhesive for 0402, but here's your rules of thumb: * Nozzle diameter should be half the desired glue dot diameter. * Minimum of 0.010" gap between the adhesive and pad, both sides. We'd guess that you should be using a 0.3mm

Hopefully you have a dispenser on your machine so that you can add a few large dots of paste to the thermal pad.

Hello TEC, This may be a good question for the Apps Engineers at your dispenser manufacturer. By providing the identity of the epoxy and the components you are placing, they should be able to make some recommendations for getting the proper dispens

Essemtec like to keep some details to themselves to make you initiate contact but the Jet nozzle page states it can do 0.4mm dots. Last I checked a single Jet dispenser was about £15k GBP, the Scorpion machine itself is effectively the same platform
