Hi sforman1, The chemical that i'm using is a solvent based coating humiseal 1B73. From my understanding,the UV curing is mainly for UV curable coating like the UV40. And the main advantage of using UV curing is for fast throughput and environment

We need to use a conformal product that will hold up in environmental tests, for southern CA weather specifically. Does anyone have experience with both, which do you prefer? Has anyone seen or had test data for these materials? Thanks in advanc

Steve: Two things: 1 Chrys "The Thermo Princess" Shea wrote a great thread on attaching thermocouples that's in the SMTnet archives 2 Dymax (and probably others) makes a uV cureable thermal adhesive that's not a ugly to use as soldering thermal coup

We use Dymax �Ultra Light-Weld�. We use an ADAC Technologies handheld for uV cure. What do you use?

I would suggest you call Dymax (may be Diemax) - they are the adhesive experts when it comes to UV curing materials. I am very sorry, but somehow they are not in my database. You should be able to find them on the net under and adhesives+UV search.
