Hi Grant, Murata do 0402 chip caps on 50K reels - example: GRM1555C1H101JZ01J 0402, 100pf, NPO/C0G 50V 5% (make sure the final letter is included - the J denotes the reel size - D is standard 10K) Rohm MCR01 series (0402 resistors) come on 6inch, 1

GR@ICS, can you be more specific about your up in the Ersa machine please? Nozzle size, pump rate (%), and is your machine equipped with monitors on the solder pots? We have the same machine it sounds like, however we run Pb-Free in both pots. I

Hi All -- I'm about to design a DPAK part (case 369A-13, Issue Z)onto a PCB . The part's maximum length as given in the datasheets (On-Semi MAC4DHM) is 0.030" longer than the recommended land pattern as given in that same datasheet. (1) Has anybod

I faced problem over connecter's pin that were hot air soldered. This connector has 168 pins ( similar to the straddle connector ). The process is to apply the flux onto the connector's J-leads, and the hot air pencil were then ran thru' the leads to

Wow, 15 degrees C is too much. Is this a new problem or new oven? If it's a new problem several things you can check out. Thermocouple placement may have got knocked into the wrong spot, or it could be dirty. I've seen this happen after a PM and

I used method 'A' but I leave the wave on. I use a stainless steal brush like 7248T13 on McMaster-Carr.com. This way I can apply the acid and scrub the nozzle. Another important part is get a small brush to push down into the nozzle to make sure y

If you are using a low end hot air system IE: Weller, Hakko or Pace then your problems are with the system and not necessarily with your process. However process is important. We have found by inspection with an Ersa Scope (BGA inspection system) tha

Nick, I've run this flux for a while and it's not too bad. There is a tendancy for there to be residue left on the PCB after wave due to the solid's content but it can be minised by putting some effort into setting up your spray fluxer to an optimum
