I'm thinking vibe feeder as well. I saw this alot on older machines (Quad IVC) vibe was set too high making parts jump around. If it is a vibe feeded, look for spillage behind the feeder base.

Bulk parts cassettes... another idea that must have looked good at the time. Too bad the manufacturing trend went from low mix / high volume to high mix / low volume. I guess the feeders have to be too complex to feed the part properly to the machine

Problems like these are not caused by bad feeder quality. As described in the solution finding, the pull off forces of the cover tape are just too high. Cause is the blistertape and not the a feeder. Have you ever tested if the pull of force of the

I would have thought the other way. We are currently using 2 CP642s for high volume and they are doing an excellent job. Electronic feeders are too expensive and we don't see any benefit for that expense. I imagine it makes sense for some applicat

We can't affort the new QP132. It costs more than a million bucks each plus power feeders. We can only buy from the used markets. CP7's X-Y Table is moving too fast. They need special solder paste. Very expensive solder paste to hold the components.
