The SMTA Capital Chapter is pleased to announce its first meeting of 2017 on February 23rd, scheduled from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at The Test Connection, 11400 Cronridge Drive, Suite H, Owings Mills, MD, 21117. The focus of this chapter meeting will be “Flying Probe in Modern Day” presented by Joe Folsom and Tim Dykes, The Test Connection, featuring a demo and tour of the facility.

IPC has announced the circulation of the final interim ballot for IPC-2540, CAMX Shop Floor Equipment Communications standard series. After a final ballot has been tabulated and approved, the standard is made available in 30 days.

IPC has received overwhelming praise from IPC SMEMA Council Electronics Assembly Process Exhibition and Conference (APEX) 2001 exhibitors. With more than 12,900 total visitors (attendees and exhibitors), this second-year event saw an increase of more than 20 percent in overall attendance from the 2000 event. The 394 exhibitors filled more than 168,000 net square feet of exhibit space at the San Diego Convention Center.
