Hi all, I need to find a solution for a problem I have. I need to replace BGAs which have been glued to a laptop board with superglue (Loctite). How can it be done without removing the pads when trying to remove the foreign glue? thanks in advance

We currently use Loctite 348 chipbonder to secure large parts that will hang under the board when reflowing the second side. Rework has been complaining that they sometimes have to remove those parts to make repairs and it's difficult to remove them

I would bet that it is a SMT adhesive used to ensure that the BGA does not move during a secoindary reflow prcess. this glue is easily removed with a soldering iron. Russ

Hi, Our SMT line has placement capacity of 80K cph, but only 21K cph gluing capacity. The rate between reflow and glue of our products is around 5 to 1. The line works great for the reflow boards, but when we produce glue boards the glue dispenser
