So what your telling me is kind of vague. Does the machine home and go to the front left corner of the machine? If it does....this could be a quad align problem....meaning dirt on the lens or so-forth. You should watch the heads homing in the z-axi

I'm with an annoying problem with an IV-c. Almost all the time the Y-axis "stuck" when the machine is homing. The motor tries to move the axis but only make a sound. If I move the axis by hand it can complete the homing and then goes to the IDLE. So

no...its losing its position and it homes ok so the sensor is not the problem.....there is a mod code that sets the illumination level for the quad align....make sure that is at 200 or higher. You may want to change the qa card if you have another on
