Update on 1B73 bubbles, Changed over to a mixture of Humiseal 73 thinner with coating (25 sec on Zahn 2) observed a reduction in bubble formation (approx. 20%) but still present.

Hi Amol, We use the PVA system and also conformal coat over no-clean reflow solder as well as no-clean wave. We use a Humiseal coating and thinner.

Have you always used xylene? For our 1B73 we use nothing but 73 thinner from Humiseal or PGMEA at about 50/50 depending on the humidity.

Humiseal recommends a 1 to 1 mix ratio of 1B31 and Thinner 521. I have for that I need to thin my ratio more to get humiseal to spray correctly in our PVA650. Also I am using Humiseal 1B73 but the tech data sheets say the same for spraying. Try thinn

We are using Humiseal 1B31 and polyester dots for masking. We are spraying this in a Binks sprayer mixed at almost 1:1 with 521 thinner. Whe are seeing the coating creating thin halos around the poly dots as if the dots are "rejecting" the coating. T
