We built a tray that accepts tape. It is made out of a waffle tray and board breakaways. It works very well. We use magnets to mount it on our Y-Wagon teaching it as a tray.

Does anyone know the correct way to measure the pitch of the cavities between the rows and columns of waffle trays? Everytime that we measure using a caliper, it is always off. Is there a formula to use to determine the exact center of the cavities?

OK, so I think I have figured out the machine configuration for tape feeders. BTW, your procedure for retrieving the X/Y/Z coordinates for the pickup locations was wrong. So I looked it up in the Quad manual. The manual was wrong too. Correct procedu

Seems like I can only find 1 definition for each type of trays (pga, mqfp, tqfp, ...) But there is alot of different type of trays with different sizes. Like Mqfp 14x14, 20x20 ...) Thanks

Yes Siemens has a fixed tray feeder for matrix trays. If I remember correctly the tray will occupy 1/2 of the table.The feeder is a two part system 1) is the base 2) the the flat tray (just like what is used in the waffle pack changer). the flat tray
