PCB post reflow cleaning

Electronics Forum | Fri Apr 02 01:10:01 EST 2004 | Grant Petty

Hi, We tried that, as the Soltec has a spray fluxer that can flux just the connector part of the board, however we get really heavy solder deposits on the rest of the board that has no flux sprayed on it, so we seem to need to coat the entire board.

If you let your design team leave things up to chance, chances are something will go wrong. You are right to want to take control rather than be lead down an undesirable path by the fab house. Various masks serve certain desirable purposes. You need

Solder Mask Bubbling On PCB from Supported Via Holes

Electronics Forum | Tue Jul 15 16:12:23 EDT 2008 | boardhouse

Hi Armynski, I sell for an offshore board house, yes, it is common for offshore board shops to fill vias. The bubble is caused by air entrampment within the hole it self, when heat is applied during Hot air and the via is covered on both sides the e

| | We're getting field failures in a high impedance portion of the circuit. Think the unpopulated pc card has contaminates because we were able to grow dendrites by applying a 9 volt battery across the suspected pad, placed a drop of de-ionized wat

Dymax vs Humiseal Urethane Confomals.... Anyone?

Good morning Jamie. I work at a CM and can offer some input on process flexability. I do not have any data on how reliable the coating is but I can say that they are both very difficult to control. Will you be selective coating or full coating? Ho

| Well my process is I'm running my belt speed at 3.50fpm and about 215 to 225 degrees top side. I got my main wave down to a little less than half the board thickness. I'm not using a hot air knife cause we thought it might create more of a problem
