| Is there any way to implement SMT at home? | I want to assemble a prototype board of mine. | How can I hand-solder a 208-pin 0.5 mm lead | pitch PQFP -- lead-by-lead (the usual way), | or side-by-side (partial heating method)? | Alas, no SMD rework

You have not mentioned exactly how the BGA was reflowed onto the board. Was it sent through the oven again after the mini-stencil, or was it heateed up and reflowed using a BGA rework station, or other hot air device?? From the sound of it (outside

Louis, For whatever it is worth, When I have $5000 parts I don't even mess around with a rework station. I would mask off any heat sensitive components (We use water soluble masking like that for wave soldering) and then process through the oven yo

The current discussion about solder fountains has to do with copper dissolution. Broadly, copper dissolution is the weakening of copper traces where a trace and a barrel plating intersect due a loss of the copper into the solder. Longer contact time
