I decided to replace the psu with three din supplies since it was a repeatable issue with the 5v rail. Machine is back in operation now with no signs of problems.

If you are looking at the machines from Burton; I suggest you contact them and ask them questions. I just bought their MPM UP500 printer and despite its many quirks does print well for us at the price they let it go for. Others are right though don't

Our UP500 has been running great for a few months then the AC/DC 5/12/24V power supply stopped working and the PC could not communicate with the cage. The PC screen also got very noisy. We replaced the power supply with a used replacement and the ma

Well I stand corrected; we tried re-printing mis-prints on Friday with our auto printer and indeed it worked out very well. I did let the paste dry up a bit on the mis-printed board while a few others went through to try and prevent smearing as it re

I was able to repair the original power supply for the printer again with parts from another similar power supply on ebay. At first the machine didn't power up properly even though the supply voltages were all good on a volt meter when tested befor

MPM's had great software, we had a UP500 but it was slow. Our Dek's are very fast and the software is decent but not as good when it comes to some basic stuff like board stop offsets on images that are off center. It doesn't give clear information wh

Try these guys too: http://www.sigmaprint.co.uk/ Regardless, the parts are most likely stocked only in the U.K. Your machine was orginally manufactured in the U.K. by a British company called SMTech. SMTech was purchased by Quad and then sold to Sp

I believe NEA still sells new UP500's for around $45K. I think MPM dumped them all there and pays them as they sell. Is it worth looking at if the software is upgraded? I had the general opinion that the hardware was not so hot.
