I am not intimately familiar with every resource available in our stores, but I don't believe we currently use or own any dessicant storage cabinets. MSD's, LF or not, are stored in sealed Moisture Barrier Bags with dessicant.

Your ppl are correct, the capacitor is not sealed. So, it is perfectly acceptable for the capacitor to have absorbed moisture. If your ppl don't either prevent moisture absorption or remove the moisture prior to soldering, their component could fail

We manufacture according to military Class 3 standards and we do not vacuum seal any MSD devices. Your current method of dry packing is sufficient as well as dry cabinet or nitrogen storage. A light evacuation of air during the dry packing process

Hi, it is not necessary to store MSDs in nitrogen to stop them absorbing moisture, just a dry environment. Nitrogen storage is good for storing devices for many years as it reduces the oxidation of the solderable surfaces. Best option for storing MSD

Good morning everyone, I'd really appreciate your input on some of the best ways to create a dry environment for MSD storage. Line down-time is considerable when we have to pull of and reload 20 reels of MSD parts at the beginning and end of each s
