Let me add to the Mydata thing.. TP9-2U=..... TP9UFP=Good MY9=Best TP9 UFPs will place 0402's fine as long as you have black tools and run them across the camera. This method is slow but it works.

Hi Jack, we have in our comapany My15 and MY9. Both machines we programming almost daily only in excell. First manually, second with excell macro. Both alternative are almost camparable. It´s depending on amount of SMD parts and skills. Radek

the jaws are not for electrical testing do to being two solid stainless steel pieces. i dont really have any issues with 0402's, i got them placing good. its the 0201's that are a pain. attached is a picture of the centering jaws for you to see.

Well before you totally give up on the midas head, you may wanna try changing out the ffx board/cable on it to make sure the one in there isn't binding once in a while and giving you your theta errors.

Interesting, it seems the theta error followed the ZFIB board, running the machine with the original theta error and using the ZFIB board from the second machine since Thursday, no errors since...will continue to evaluate and post results...
