Today, Congressman Ron Kind (D-WIS) met with executives and employees of IPC-member company TTM Technologies, Inc. at their manufacturing facility in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin. Coordinated by IPC, the world’s leading association for the electronics manufacturing industry, this visit is part of an ongoing effort to help policymakers learn first-hand about legislative and regulatory issues that impact the electronic interconnect industry.

The first ever Rework Experience Competition was held at this year’s SMT Hybrid Packaging international exhibition and conference. This competition tested competitor’s skills in reworking a finished printed circuit board. There were seven total competitors and all seven successfully completed the challenge. Ljupce Talevski, from Aluwave AB took first place. In second place was Ekatarina Stahlmann from Grundig Business Syst. Coming in third place was Conny Hielscher from Grundig Business Syst.

In recognition of his extraordinary contributions to IPC and the electronics industry, Doug Pauls, principal materials and process engineer, Rockwell Collins, was honored with the IPC Raymond E. Pritchard Hall of Fame Award.
