Parylene coating is done in vacuum curing chambers. This process drives the material under components and into all nooks and crannies. There is nowhere on the board assembly that can escape from the material! I've only seen Parylene coating process u

Does anyone have any experience with parylene coated BGA's. Can they be masked so parylene doesn't get underneath? How do you remove and replace? Is machining them off the only viable option? If so are there any special requirements /special fixturin

Has anyone out there tried to parylene coat plastic parts prior to soldering them to a pcb? I'm looking at several potential applications where fewer than 5% of my components on a pcb are plastic, yet from a reliability aspect (environmental conditio

We recently started doing our own Parylene Coating on site. I am looking for some advise on the best way to remove the masking after coating. Is there a document anywhere that addresses this subject? Our fellow doing the coating had only about 2 we

We do parylene coating and really frown upon using a UV additive. Technically, it's a contaminant to the parylene.

It really depends on what method you used to mask. Liquid mask, tape, rubber boots, etc. It is something most learned thru trial and error, much like running the parylene machine. It's never as easy as loading it up, turn it on and watch it go!
