RLM, you have been very helpful! Let me try this on you: We have two IVC's, one with a conveyor and Quadalign, the other with a workholder platform and Cyber-optic. I just ran the first successful assembly on this second system, but the extents had

Hello, The machine measures the part using the laser on the head after picking it up. It then passes or fails it by comparing it to the part size and tolerance for the pickup in the laser extents. You can see this in central controller under laser ex

I hope that you don't miss that data later on. My suggestion of changing align type to "2" (in the extent data) eliminates the alignment step but leaves the data intact.

oh ya....i forgot....to verify this....turn off all the extents for the parts and just pick them and place them....if they are very close to where they should be then it is the quad align causing the problem....this is how you can verify it. Copy the

If you edit the sequence on the hht.....to fix your problems...you then have to upload the data to central controller. If you are not doing this....you are overwriting the data on the machine with bad data everytime you download to the machine. The l

wow.....lets try some more things....... first....i think quad align error 0 has something to do with the theta number not being at 0,6000,12000,18000. I am not for sure about that but check it out by doing a function 3 on your pickups. second.....

Thanks again Bobpan for all of your help. I hope some of my questions are dumb ones. Regarding "first", the QA error 0, you were right. In checking the setup, for some reason theta was 65227 instead of the 0 that I thought I had set. Regarding "sec

oh....for the feeders moving 2 parts....you must teach a pickup repeat. Make an extent in the pickup editor and attach it to repeat with pick and make it a 2x1 with an 80 mil offset. The machine will then pick the part that is out of the sensor first

Thank you very much. I swapped the component length and width measurements in Autoprogram and it now places the SOT23's with image verification no problem. As for the 0402's I am still working on this. Pick and place is very new to me, well I start
