Yes, what you are thinking is correct. Assuming an 0805 capacitor parts that are picked from the front and back of the machine will be picked at 0 theta. Parts that are on the left or right will be picked at a 90 theta. This way they can all share th

Sounds to me like a dirty quad-align. If you have cleaned the lens and have the same results then you may have dirt on the inside of the quad-align. The only fix is to replace it or blow it out with an air gun. Unfortunately it is not easy to tell if

The ribbon cable would be my guess. I ran a IVc for about 3 years and we use to have to change out our cable at least once per year. I also wanted to add that you can contact Precision Placement Machines (PPM) for parts and service. We use to use

Anyone know how to use AutoProgram 5.32 for the Quad IVc assemblers? I am having all kinds of problems. I can't create a new SMD Type because the Edit menu is greyed out, so I can't select New. I can't figure out how to set up feeders and assign feed

I'm thinking vibe feeder as well. I saw this alot on older machines (Quad IVC) vibe was set too high making parts jump around. If it is a vibe feeded, look for spillage behind the feeder base.

The camera to nozzle offset calibration requires that you modify some of the mod codes once the offsets are calculated. This is not part of the VU3 calibration. Send me your email address so that i can attach a copy of the manual for you.

I dont know if vision on spin fail was ever for small parts....its more for bigger fine pitch that fail in the quadalign and then given another chance to pass over the upward camera.

Parts that are the same size can share the same extent #. If you are placing 100 different 0805 components you will need only 1 extent.

oh....for the feeders moving 2 parts....you must teach a pickup repeat. Make an extent in the pickup editor and attach it to repeat with pick and make it a 2x1 with an 80 mil offset. The machine will then pick the part that is out of the sensor first

I would like to get some parts for my Quad IVc, but it seems the prices of feeder bases / feeders / vib feeders are more than the machine cost me, so I was wondering if anyone on here had extra or spare parts that they would like to part with. I'm g
