Electronics Forum | Thu Sep 22 13:22:59 EDT 2016 | bobpan

Hello, The machine measures the part using the laser on the head after picking it up. It then passes or fails it by comparing it to the part size and tolerance for the pickup in the laser extents. You can see this in central controller under laser ex

Thanks for the answer, RLM, I couldn't find anything in the manual that was helpful. If I use a common extent for each component type, I need to identify those components that may be turned due to the feed type (tape, vibe). Is this where I would d

OK, so I think I have figured out the machine configuration for tape feeders. BTW, your procedure for retrieving the X/Y/Z coordinates for the pickup locations was wrong. So I looked it up in the Quad manual. The manual was wrong too. Correct procedu

Hello all. I'm having a bit of an issue with my IVc that's driving me insane. On occasion when placing a part, the machine will consistently reject the part 3 times before adjusting and then pick and place the part with no issues. I've done everythi

Thank you for your reply Bob. 1. It appears the machine is picking the part up, hovering over the board and rejecting it. So it's not blowing the parts out of the pocket. Turning the vv off still results in the same issue. 2. All the tolerances are

The manuals will not teach you how to use Autoprogram but they will be a reference once you learn it. First you must configure your system. Try this and let me know how it goes. To Configure a machine: -Under Machine Configuration Select Assembler/S

Bobpan, thank you for your speedy response. As to the items you noted: 1. I did a test of Funct 30 for the first 5 nozzles, 2 times each as follows: noz1 Ht=215 & 219, center=1005 (all nozzles all tests), run out 2.2 & 2.7. Noz2 Ht=228 &228, runout=

Thanks again Bobpan for all of your help. I hope some of my questions are dumb ones. Regarding "first", the QA error 0, you were right. In checking the setup, for some reason theta was 65227 instead of the 0 that I thought I had set. Regarding "sec

Hello all, Finally ready to run my first 14 up array and the machine picks up the part moves to the placement location, them moves to home and drops the part. The Z axis never moves. I do get a "run error 1" at about the 4th placement (if it was a
