John: Don�t do it, well at least until we better understand what you�re doing. What are you doing? Is it "heat capacity"? Heat capacity relates the change in heat to a change in temperature.

Hussman- I agree. Even some of the Wave soldering machine manufacturers quote High temp paint as a maintenance step. The paint step does not work well with quartz type heating elements Best regards, Cal Manncorp

Hi Pete, It is an alcohol based NC flux. The machine does have quartz preheaters. We are preheating to the temp specified by the flux. Thanks Chris
