If you really have Loctite Super Glue it is a cyanoacrylate and can be removed with acetone. If you have a Loctite aneorbic glue that has not hardened yet, acetone will remove it. If an anerobic has hardened I know of nothing that will remove it. Als

Hi all, I need to find a solution for a problem I have. I need to replace BGAs which have been glued to a laptop board with superglue (Loctite). How can it be done without removing the pads when trying to remove the foreign glue? thanks in advance

To check any solder crack, open under the BGA/CCGA. I am using a destruction test to find out is it related to the reflow profile or the Fab issue. 1. Depense the Dye (I use Dykem Steel Red) under the device. 2. Cure the dye 3. Remove the device 4.

I would bet that it is a SMT adhesive used to ensure that the BGA does not move during a secoindary reflow prcess. this glue is easily removed with a soldering iron. Russ

When rushing to get a job done, it's easy to accidently remove solder mask from a nearby via when dressing BGA pads after removing the part. Just hit the via with some super glue [then say a small prayer] and push on. As an alternative, look here:
