I agree with Dave. Try to find a used Summit 1100 or 1000. They are good machines for boards of that size. You can always get it retro-fitted when/if you have more funds.

Ya I agree with Dean. We've done quite a lot of work with the SRT Summit2000 rework station.The results have been satisfactory, to say the least. One should however characterize the different operating parameters:namely the working scavenger air flow

Jim, We have an SRT Summit 1000. It's a nice machine, but may be overkill if you're only looking to place and remove small quantities of BGA's. In 4+ months of use, we've had good success placing and reflowing a variety of BGA's including UBGA. Suppo

| | I am trying to solder a 388 ball BGA to an Andon Electronics Corp. BGA socket adapter and I am having problems in the reflow of this part. I put no clean paste flux in the solder cups of the adapter then put the BGA part onto the adapter and run
